In 1987, he graduated with honors from the Dzhambul Pedagogical Institute. In 1999, he successfully defended his PhD thesis in the specialty "theory and methodology of teaching Russian literature." In 2002, by the decision of the Higher Attestation Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, he was awarded the academic title of associate professor. Scientific and pedagogical experience of 37 years. He is the author of more than 80 scientific papers. Laureate of the A.S. Pushkin International Prize (Moscow, 2003). Winner of the international competition "The best teacher of Russian literature abroad" (Moscow, 2015). Awards: jubilee medal "For contribution to the development of al-Farabi Kazakh National University" (2017), medal "Yeren enbegi ushin" (2022).
